Description
This barn, located approximately 4 meters north of Clough Farmhouse, is likely from the early 18th century and has been extended and altered over time. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble, featuring quoins and some through-stones, topped with a slate roof that has red ridge tiles. The barn has a rectangular shape oriented east-west and faces south, with an extension at the eastern end.
The main section of the barn includes a large doorway in the center, flanked by a pair of smaller doorways on the left, and two square loft windows above. The extension on the right has a segmental-headed wagon entrance at the junction, which features rubble voussoirs that are now distorted, with the masonry above sagging. The interior has not been inspected.
This barn is part of a notable farmstead group alongside Clough Farmhouse.
