Description

The War Memorial in Memorial Gardens, dated 1924, is made of polished granite and features bronze statuary. It consists of a rectangular panelled pedestal, approximately 2.5 metres high, set on a two-step base. Atop the pedestal is a bronze statue depicting an infantryman with a rifle, protecting a fallen comrade. The base of the statue is inscribed on the right with "R F ROSLYN RSS" and on the left with "1924 E J PARLANTI FOUNDER LONDON."
