War memorial. 1920's. Sandstone and polished granite, with granite statue. Three square steps, square 2-stage base with carved wreath on lower stage, polished pedestal, of square section tapering slightly, moulded sandstone cap surmounted by life-sized statue of infantryman in cap standing with hands on butt of rifle, the muzzle on his foot. Inscriptions "HONOUR THE FALLEN" at at the top, and on the pedestal IsiRE,'4T WAiR "THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918" and names an all 4 sides (96 in all); added on the base "1939-1945" and 40 names.
