Description
The war memorial, built in the 1920s, is made of sandstone and polished granite, featuring a granite statue. It stands on three square steps and has a square two-stage base with a carved wreath on the lower stage. The polished pedestal is square in shape and tapers slightly, topped with a life-sized statue of an infantryman in a cap, standing with his hands on the butt of his rifle, the muzzle resting on his foot. The memorial bears the inscription "HONOUR THE FALLEN" at the top, and on the pedestal, it reads "THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918," along with names inscribed on all four sides, totaling 96 names. Additionally, "1939-1945" and 40 more names are added on the base.
