Description

CHATBURN ROAD 1. 5295 (North Side) Bellman Farmhouse, Nos 1 and 3 SD 74 SE 8/247 II 2. C18 or early C19, front elevation is rough rendered with 3 windows over 2, modern glazing. Doorway with stone pilasters and cornice. Door of 6 fielded panels and rectangular fanlight of 3 lights. Side elevation is earlier C18, in coursed stone with 2 windows of 3 lights, without the mullions, to the 1st floor. 1 window to ground floor of No 1 while No 3 has a modern 6-light casement window. 2 doors, 1 modern and 1 of 6 panels, in stone surrounds. To the right, the side of the main building has 1 window over 1 in stone surrounds. Barn section attached to left, with catslide roof.
