Description

Peterhill House is an early 19th-century house located on Yealand Road in Yealand Conyers. The building is constructed of pebbledashed rubble and features a slate roof. It stands two storeys high with attics and has three bays.

To the right of the entrance door, there is a canted bay window with sash windows that include glazing bars. On the left side, the entrance features a door with plain reveals and a French window, also with plain reveals. On the first floor to the left, there is a double sash window with glazing bars, cement reveals, and a stone sill. Above the door, a sash window with glazing bars is framed by a plain stone surround. To the right, a double window is divided by a square stone mullion; the right side has a sash window with glazing bars, while the left side is a fixed window with glazing bars.

The doorway has a plain stone surround and includes a fanlight with intersecting tracery, leading to a door with nine raised and fielded panels. The right gable features an attic window. A lower wing adjoins the right gable, which has a modern window with plain reveals on the ground floor and a sash window with glazing bars and a plain stone surround on the first floor, alongside another sash window with glazing bars and plain reveals to its right. At the rear of the main house, there is a lean-to extension and a gabled wing.
