Description
No. 6 Yealand Road is a house from the early 19th century, built of limestone rubble with sandstone dressings and a slate roof. It has two storeys and features end stacks. The main part of the house has three windows on each floor, all of which are sashed with glazing bars and have plain stone surrounds. The doorway, located between the second and third windows on the ground floor, also has a plain stone surround and is topped with a cornice hood supported by brackets. At the southern end, there is a cross-wing that has projecting purlins and a sashed window on each floor, both with glazing bars and plain reveals. The southern wall of the wing includes a sashed window on each floor, again with glazing bars and plain reveals.
