Description
Laurel Bank is a house built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed watershot rubble with sandstone dressings and has a slate roof. The building features a symmetrical double-pile plan, gable stacks, and chamfered quoins. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has three bays. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and are set in plain stone surrounds. The door also has a plain stone surround and is complemented by a wooden porch with decorated bargeboards. A moulded cornice of cement render adds detail to the exterior. The left-hand gable is rendered and features details in cement render, along with a canted bay window towards the rear. A glass conservatory is attached to the south side of the house.
