Description
Beacon Rigg Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house constructed of rubble with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a stone slate roof. The building features two storeys and three bays on the front. A central projecting canted bay has 12-pane sash windows at the front and 8-pane sashes on the sides. To the left, there is a 20th-century window in an old opening and a 12-pane sash above it. To the right, a doorway leads into a 20th-century half-glazed porch, with a 12-pane sash window above. All the sash windows have been renewed, and the openings have alternating jambs. To the left, there is a later single-storey outshut, and the rear elevation includes a contemporary outshut with later additions.
