Description

Croft House is an early 19th-century house located on Aydon Road in Corbridge. It is constructed of rubble with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a graduated Lakeland slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three symmetrical bays. The central entrance consists of flush-panelled double doors with a five-pane overlight above. There are 16-pane sash windows throughout the house. The gables are coped, and there are stepped end stacks, with the right stack being rendered. On the right side of the house, there is a 12-pane sash window on the first floor. The rear elevation includes a contemporary outshut with two 16-pane Yorkshire sashes. There is also a rear wing to the right and adjacent outbuildings, which have been altered and are not of interest.
