Description

The hydrants and trough at the junction with Orchard Crescent date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are made of squared stone and cast iron. The structure features a double stone trough with bucket rest bars, which is supplied by twin lion-mask spouts on the rear wall. Flanking wing walls, which decrease in height, have chamfered coping, and the individual blocks are connected by iron clamps.
