Description

This building comprises a vicarage, incorporating earlier fabric, dating from 1785, with alterations in the mid-19th century and a rear section heightened in the late 19th or early 20th century. It is constructed of rubble with cut quoins and tooled dressings, and has Welsh slate roofs. The building has a square plan, incorporating a two-storey, four-bay L-shaped section and a three-storey block to the rear.

The south elevation, two storeys high, has four bays. The left bay slightly projects and lacks windows. To the right is a doorway with a raised stone surround and cornice, sheltered by a 19th-century gabled wood porch featuring a pointed arch. It has 12-pane sash windows within raised stone surrounds. The roof is hipped, and a pent extension to the right has a similarly styled window, likely re-set. The rear and right section, three storeys high, has a hipped roof and a tall banded lateral stack.

The left return elevation features six bays with sash windows in matching surrounds. The left two bays are slightly set back and contain French windows leading up two steps, fitted with 18-pane sashes where the lower 12-pane leaf slides upwards into a wall cavity; the external face of this cavity is brick. Other windows have 15-pane sashes over 12-pane sashes, with those in the right two bays re-set within a mid-19th century wall.

Inside, a stone staircase features stick balusters, a moulded newel, and a handrail.
