Description

Tyn-Llan is a late Georgian house that stands two storeys high and features three bays. It is constructed of rubble stone, which was previously rendered, and has a slate roof with brick stacks at each end. The central doorway is set within a shallow gabled porch and features a panelled door with inserted glazed panels and a keyed lintel. The lower-storey windows have keyed lintels and are 16-pane horned sash windows, while the upper-storey windows are 16-pane hornless sashes.

The left gable end is attached to Rectory Cottage. The right gable end has two segmental-headed windows in the upper storey, which have been renewed in earlier openings, along with a similar replaced window in the lower right. The rear wing's south wall is continuous with the gable end of the main range and has similar replaced windows in the lower storey, as well as a tripartite sash window in the upper storey. The east gable end features a large external stack, with its upper part rebuilt in brick. This gable end also has segmental-headed late 19th-century margin-lit sash windows, with a replaced small-pane window in an earlier opening on the lower right, and to the right of this is an added shallow lean-to that is partly against the stack. The doorway to the rear wing is located within its right-hand side wall.

At the rear of the main range, to the right of the rear wing, there are inserted French doors in the lower storey and a sash window with a brick sill in the upper storey. Inside, a straight staircase with plain balusters leads to a landing, and the room to the right features spine beams with run-out stops.
