Description
This barn, located approximately 10 metres west of Swift's Farmhouse, dates back to 1698. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and features an asbestos sheet roof. The barn has five bays and is aisled on the south side. There are opposed wagon entrances in the centre, with the entrance on the south side set back in a porch within the aisle. A sliding door is located at the left end of the north side, along with a small loading door above it and slit breathers on two levels. The east gable has a flight of stone steps leading to a loft door, while the west gable features slit breathers on five levels. The rear of the barn includes a door into each part of the aisle and a window at the east end. Inside, there is an aisle post with a tie, angle strut, and braces to the purlin.
