Description
The retaining wall of the River Brun, along with its associated railings, is located on the east side of Bank Parade in Burnley. This structure was rebuilt in the late 19th century and is made of coursed squared sandstone rubble. It features cast-iron spear-headed railings with square standards that have foliated heads, all mounted on a low sandstone plinth. This retaining wall forms a group with a slightly different section of retaining wall located on School Lane.
