Description

The retaining wall and railings to Castle Gardens in Shrewsbury were likely built in the later 19th century. The wall is made of coursed and squared sandstone and features a projecting cornice band. Above the wall, there are cast-iron railings, and the structure is capped with worn octagonal stone terminating piers.
