Description
This is a retaining wall with railings, likely built in the mid to late 18th century, featuring 19th-century railings. The wall is made of limestone rubble with some brick patching and has a renewed rendered coping. It is a tall wall that showcases the decorative quality of limestone, which originally enclosed houses but now surrounds a public car park to the north of the Galen Building. The wall ramps up at the southern end. The railings are simple, with spike heads and curved stays attached to the principal supports.
