Description

This is a terrace retaining wall and railings located 5 yards north of numbers 14-18 in Wooler Market Place. It was built in the mid-19th century and is constructed from rock-faced ashlar and cast iron. The retaining wall is approximately 40 yards long and stands 5 feet high, with three later concrete steps interrupting its length. On top of the wall, there are railings featuring a top rail and spear-head standards.
