Description

Nent House is an 18th-century house located on the east side of Cheviot Street in Wooler. It is constructed of random rubble with dressed stone quoins and surrounds, and has a pantiled roof with brick chimneys, the upper parts of which have been rebuilt. The house follows a lobby-entry plan, and is two storeys high with three bays. A central 20th-century door is set beneath an overlight, and the windows are 12-pane sash windows. The steeply-pitched gabled roof features reverse-stepped gables. A single-storey wing projects from the rear of the building.
