Description
Nos. 4 and 6 Bankhouse Street are a pair of small town houses, which were later used as a workshop but are now offices that are internally integrated with No. 68 Bank Parade. They were built around 1820 to 1830 and have been altered since then. The buildings are constructed from watershot coursed sandstone and have a slate roof. They feature a double-depth plan, with each house being single-fronted. The structures are two storeys high with cellars, and the doorways are located on the right side, having plain surrounds. There are 12-pane sashed windows with raised sills and plain surrounds. A gable chimney is situated on the right side. The rear and interior of the buildings have been altered. They form a group with Nos. 64-68 Bank Parade, which are adjacent to the left.
