Description
The Goit is the remains of a millrace that once served a former town corn mill located on Bridge Street. It is now cut off and reduced in size. The structure is probably of medieval origin but was rebuilt in the early 19th century. It features sandstone rubble sides with a paved surround. The millrace is approximately 2 meters wide and 15 meters long. It is included in the listing for its group value.
