Description

This barn, located 200 meters north-west of Gardener's Cottage, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick and features a slate roof along with an upper cruck-frame. The barn consists of one room measuring 1 by 2 bays on each of its two floors. The north side has double doors, while the east side contains a blocked circular pitching hole and a pointed arch door opening. Inside, three chamfered beams support the floor, and a ladder provides access to the upper floor, which features a chamfered collar-tie raised cruck truss and original purlins.
