Description
Rose Cottage and Farm Cottage are two cottages that were originally four, dating from the late 18th century and early 19th century. Rose Cottage features English garden wall bond brickwork, while Farm Cottage is built in Flemish bond. Both cottages have a slate roof. Each of the original four cottages was two stories high and had a double-depth layout, with a door on the right side; however, the doors to the second and fourth bays have been blocked. There is a continuous outshut at the rear. The two remaining doors have heavy frames and cambered brick arches above them. The buildings contain a total of eight three-light casement windows, which have stone sills and cambered brick arch heads. There are also four late 19th-century ridge chimney stacks. These cottages are included for their group value.
