Description
Dog Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse that appears to have been adapted from an early 18th-century single-depth house. It features English garden wall bond brickwork and a slate roof. The building is double-depth, two rooms wide, and two storeys high, with a central entrance plan and a two-storey wing at the rear. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a 19th-century canopy. On either side of the door, there are two 16-pane sash windows with stone sills and cambered brick arches. Evidence of the earlier building can be seen on all sides, with blocked window openings that have segmental brick arched heads. The two gable chimney stacks are late 19th-century replacements.
