Description
This is a 17th-century barn located to the southwest of Overtown Farmhouse. It is constructed with a box frame on a stone plinth, featuring a slate roof and brick nogging. The barn consists of five bays and has two storeys throughout. The framing is square panelled with an interrupted sill and angle bracing. The frame remains largely intact in the first three bays, with some remnants visible in the left gable and at the rear. The brickwork, which includes diamond-shaped honeycomb vents, appears to date from the 18th century. There is a large door in the main elevation and a first-floor loading door on the left gable. Inside, there are three original tie-beam roof trusses with collars, various struts, and straight wind bracing.
