Description
This is a barn located to the southwest of The Bent Farmhouse, possibly dating from around 1600, which is the same period as the farmhouse. The barn features a cruck frame with a stone plinth, and the walls are primarily brick with some remnants of wall framing. The roof is covered with clay tiles, which replaced the original thatch. The structure consists of three bays and has two storeys, with doors located on the north side. There is a lean-to at the rear and a three-bay cart shed on the right. The stone plinth and remnants of the square panel frame can be seen in the first two bays. The barn has three doors and two dormer loft hatches. The cart shed is supported by 17th-century posts with braces, while the rest of the structure is from the 20th century. The four crucks are mostly intact, each featuring a tie beam, cruck spurs, collar beam, and curved wind bracing. The framing on the right gable is only visible from the inside.
