Description
Home Farm Dovecote is an early 19th-century dovecote located on the west side of Dunham Road in Dunham Massey. It features Flemish stretcher bond brickwork with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The structure is octagonal and consists of two storeys. Notable architectural elements include a projecting stone plinth, stone quoins, and a moulded band at the first floor. There is a door on the west side, with stone-dressed circular entry holes in the upper stage. The roof has a shallow pitch and is topped with a classically styled cupola that includes an elaborate wrought iron weather vane. Inside, the dovecote retains all the nesting holes that are set into the depth of the brickwork.
