Description
This is a dovecote built in the mid-19th century, situated on a late 18th-century base. It is constructed from squared stone, featuring tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, and has a pantile roof. The dovecote has a square plan and is raised at the west end of a range of shelter sheds. It includes segmental arches on the south and east sides, with some brick infill. There is an alighting shelf on the south side, located below three pairs of arched openings, and it has a pyramidal roof. The left side shows a boarded loft door beneath slatted openings. Inside, the dovecote is lined with nesting boxes. The nearby ruins of the shelter sheds are not considered of special interest.
