Description
The Stakeford and Bomarsund War Memorial is located outside the Stakeford and Bomarsund War Memorial Hall, which opened in 1922 and is not listed. The memorial consists of a tall granite column positioned in front of a panel. The column is set on a small square plinth. At the top of the column, there is a small wreath carved in low relief, suspended from the abacus. The names of those commemorated are inscribed on the shaft of the column.
The main dedicatory inscription is on the front face of the plinth, which reads: "IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919." On either side of the plinth, there are low flanking panels with curved tops, each featuring a small granite tablet that lists the names of those commemorated from the Second World War.
