Description
Dunham Massey Lodge is a house that has been divided into two residences. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The building features Flemish bond brickwork and a slate roof, measuring six bays wide and two rooms deep. The original part of the house, which includes bays four to six, was completely re-faced in the early 19th century. This re-facing includes two two-storey canted bay windows and a flat-roofed porch supported by Tuscan columns. The entrance features a six-panel door flanked by three-quarter columns and an overlight. There is a stone plinth and timber cornices on both the ground and first floors, along with gable stacks. Bays one to three were added later in the 19th century and include four tripartite sash windows, three sash windows, and a hipped roof.
