Description
No. 16 is a house located on the south side of The Village in Urmston, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick with a rendered rear, which now serves as the front, and features a slate roof. The house has two bays and is two stories high, with an additional bay added to the left and a 20th-century porch at the rear. The original door between the second and third bays has been blocked. There are three original three-light casement windows with 20th-century leaded glass and cambered brick-arched heads on each floor. The house has ridge and gable chimney stacks, and there are 20th-century windows at the rear. A lean-to conservatory is located on the left return. The building is included for its group value.
