Description

The sundial located immediately south of the Church of St Michael on Urmston Church Road dates from the late 18th century. It is made of stone and features cast-iron railings and a bronze dial. The sundial has a baluster-type shaft with a dial and a broken gnomon, which stands on two stone steps that support the plain railings.
