Description

Number 15, the west entrance to Hydebank Tunnel on the Peak Forest Canal, was built between 1794 and 1801 by engineers Benjamin Outram and Thomas Brown. The entrance features dressed stone and a semi-circular arch with two projecting stone bands. The parapet wall is made of large stones with a rounded top, ending in a square pier at one side and curving around to include a set of stone steps at the other side.
