Description

Number 15, the east entrance to Hydebank Tunnel on the Peak Forest Canal, was built between 1794 and 1801 by engineers Benjamin Outram and Thomas Brown. The entrance features dressed stone and has a semi-elliptical arch, which is accented by two projecting stone bands. There is also a small retaining wall or parapet at the entrance.
