Description
Wolstenholme Fold Farmhouse and Barn is a late 17th century farmhouse with an adjoining barn, which is dated 1721 on the keystone. The buildings are constructed of dressed stone and feature slate roofs. The farmhouse has a two-storey, two-unit plan, with the barn attached at the rear left corner, positioned at right angles to the farmhouse. There is a single-storey wing added to the right and a lean-to on the left gable.
All the mullioned windows in the farmhouse are three-light, with the ground floor windows being single chamfered. The entrance door is located to the left and features square-cut monolithic jambs and a lintel. The rear elevation includes two three-light mullioned windows, as well as a two-light window with semi-circular heads and a hoodmould. The barn has a large semi-circular square-cut opening with a keystone, and 20th-century windows have been added to either side.
