Description
Manor Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and features a brick chimney stack. The house is designed as a two-unit structure, with the living area to the left of the entrance and a room to the right; stone stairs were previously located opposite the door. The building has two storeys, and the roof has been raised to create a taller upper storey, with the upper windows being of a later date.
On the ground floor, the mullioned windows are double chamfered and consist of two lights (possibly a fire window), five lights, and three lights (with the mullions removed), all featuring dripmoulds. The house has a stone plinth and quoins. The rear of the building includes two three-light windows and one two-light window, the latter having round-headed lights, all of which have had their mullions removed. The hoodmoulds of these windows have spiral stops, which are likely re-used elements. Additionally, there are two semi-circular headed single lights at the half level that are blocked in. The roof structure includes fishbone king-post trusses. Historical records suggest that the building was initially used as a chapel.
