Description

The Egerton Arms is an 18th-century public house located on Chapel Lane in Heywood. Constructed of watershot stone, it features a stone slate roof and brick chimney stacks. The building has a double-depth plan with a central entrance and later additions to the side and rear. A stone plinth and quoins are visible. The first floor has two three-light flat-faced mullion windows. Similar mullioned windows are present on the ground floor, though they have been rendered over, along with the door surround. Gable ridge chimney stacks are prominent.
