Description
Bradley's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from 1619, as indicated by the date on the door lintel, but it has been significantly altered in the 18th century. The building is constructed from roughly dressed stone and squared rubble, topped with a slate roof. It features three bays and two storeys, along with a single-storey porch. The left side has quoins, and there is a gabled porch located between the second and third bays, which has a chamfered door surround with an obtuse-angled lintel.
To the left, there are three and four-light double-chamfered mullion windows, both of which have two missing mullions, and the latter has a hoodmould. A door opening that has been converted into a window is located between these windows, and this is a later addition, as is the square-cut door surround in the third bay. On the first floor, two three-light double-chamfered mullion windows were blocked when the roof was raised to allow for a row of flat-faced mullion windows added in the late 18th century.
The farmhouse has a brick ridge chimney stack and features two and three-light double-chamfered windows on the left return. There is also a small wing to the right with a lean-to garage, which includes similar two and three-light windows, as well as later flat-faced mullion windows at the rear.
