Description

Feizor Old Hall is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of limewashed rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. It has an L-plan layout with a lobby entry and stands two storeys high with three bays and scattered windows.

The gabled entrance porch, located to the left of the centre, has a moulded surround and keystone dating from around 1730, with a 20th-century door. On the ground floor, there is a single-light window on the left, a central three-light recessed flat-faced mullioned window, and a right-hand former four-light double-chamfered mullioned window, which has been reduced to a two-light window with only the central mullion remaining, complete with a hoodmould. The upper floor features two windows: a left-hand single light with a chamfered surround and round head, and a right-hand window that is chamfered and likely was originally three lights but now has missing mullions. All windows contain fixed lights or 20th-century casements.

The building has a massive ridge stack to the left of centre and a projecting gable end ridge stack on the right. The right-hand return features a gable entry to the right of the stack, which has a chamfered surround and a decorated lintel inscribed with "N 1699 CE." At the rear, there is a two-storey wing with four bays that contains 17th-century double-chamfered mullioned windows on both floors. Inside, the fireplace has a decorated surround and a lintel inscribed with "IB 1728," and the rear wing includes a dog-leg staircase with a closed string and stick balusters.
