Description
Howarth Knowl Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed from watershot stone, featuring a slate roof and a 19th-century brick porch. The building has a double-depth, 2-bay plan with two storeys and a single-storey central porch. To the left, there is a stone addition, and attached farm buildings are located to the right, although these are not included in this listing. The farmhouse is characterized by stone quoins and has two 3-light flat-faced mullion windows on the ground floor. The first floor originally had a 12-light "weaver's window," but six of those lights have been blocked. A chimney stack is located on the right-hand gable.
