Description

This is a house located in Saddleworth, specifically the northernmost building of a group of three, situated to the north of Holly Grove Cottage. It dates from the mid-18th century and has been constructed with hammer-dressed watershot stone, featuring a graduated stone slate and slate roof. The house is single-depth with three bays and two storeys, and it has quoins.

The first two bays have ground floor windows with six and three lights, respectively, and there are two three-light windows on the first floor. All these windows have double-chamfered cavetto-moulded mullions. The third bay, which was added later, includes a door and a window with square-cut surrounds, along with a three-light flat-faced mullion window on the first floor.

There are three ridge chimney stacks on the roof. The original door is located in the left gable and features a square-cut surround, while this gable also has two two-light windows. The right gable has a blocked taking-in door. At the rear, there are two double-chamfered windows and four additional windows that were inserted at a later date.
