Description

SADDLEWORTH SE 00 NW 1673-0/4/10010 HUDDERSFIELD NARROW CANAL Diggle Subway under canal after lock 30 W - II Subway beneath the canal. Early C19. Dressed stone. North end semicircular voussoired portal to round-arched tunnel. Stone setted footpath the length of tunnel. At the southern end, a right-handed integral wingwall, with flat rusticated copings continues alongside the footpath for several yards.
