Description
The south entrance of the Scout Tunnel on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal is a tunnel entrance constructed between 1794 and 1797, designed by engineer Benjamin Outram. It features hammer-dressed stone and an elliptical arch. The parapet and retaining wall have a band and rounded coping, with the wall curving in plan and terminating in square piers.
