Description

Holly Grove Cottage is a house dating from the middle to late 18th century. It is part of a group of three buildings and is the southernmost one. The house is constructed of hammer-dressed watershot stone with a roof of graduated stone slates. It has a 1-bay, 2-storey plan with a gabled entrance. The exterior features quoins and a projecting plinth. The south elevation has a 6-light recessed cavetto-moulded stone mullion window on each floor. A gable chimney stack is also present. Later inserted windows and 2-light windows (with mullions removed) are visible in the gable. A door is located in the left gable, framed by a dressed stone surround.
