Description
The former Junction Works at Paradise Wharf is a lead works building located on Ducie Street in Manchester. It dates from the early to mid 19th century and is currently unoccupied, with conversion work in progress. The building is constructed of red brick and has a concealed roof. It features a tapeziform plan with a triangular east end and stands four storeys tall, displaying an 11-window facade facing the wharf. The facade includes segmental-headed windows and several loading doorways, topped by a parapet. The west end has three gables and likely six windows, though only four are visible due to large advertising hoardings covering the left end. The outer gables are flat-topped. Inside, there are cast-iron columns and timber floors. This building forms a group with the former stable block located to the southeast.
