The milestone located on the south side of Manchester Road in Rixton with Glazebrook is a Grade II listed structure, likely dating from the early 19th century. The lettering on the milestone indicates distances, reading 'TO WARRINGTON 4' on the left and 'TO MANCHESTER 14' on the right.
