Description
Rixton Old Hall is a mansion dating from 1822 that is currently used as offices. The building is constructed of brown brick and features a slate roof. It is two stories high and consists of six bays, including a two-story octagonal bay with three windows, as well as east and west wings. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are flush in the octagonal bay and recessed elsewhere, primarily featuring stone sills and cambered flat arches. The entrance has a six-panel door with a winged fanlight and a terra cotta label above it. The roof of the bay has lead roll hips, while the main roof ridge is made of a combination of sandstone, lead, and tile. The site is notable for its water-filled moat.
