Description
This is a terrace of cottages, originally comprising five, but now four following conversion of the two leftmost cottages into a single dwelling at number 3, New Road. The cottages date from the early 19th century and are built of small red bricks in a Flemish bond pattern. Number 9 notably projects, featuring a full-width front gable and constructed of a browner brick, likely indicating a later addition. The roofs are of grey slate, with five ridge chimneys, and a lateral chimney to what was formerly number 11. Number 3 has a late 20th-century glazed door and a renewed boarded door. Numbers 5 and 7 have renewed boarded doors, while number 9 retains an older boarded door. Numbers 3, 5, and 7 have 16-pane sashes to both storeys, set within flat gauged-brick arches. Number 9 has horned 12-pane sashes in similar openings.
