Description

Two houses, originally built as one in 1733, and altered since. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings, and have a grey slate roof. They are two storeys high with three windows, and were originally symmetrical in design. A flush stone plinth runs along the base. A boarded door is set within a moulded stone surround, featuring a keystone inscribed 'JHG 1733' in raised lettering. A projecting stone band is positioned at the first floor level, with two-light casement windows set within projecting moulded stone architraves. The central upper window has been bricked up, but the cill and mullion remain visible. A ridge chimney and flush gable chimney are present. A doorway leading to 1A has been inserted immediately to the left of the doorway to number 3. The lower left window, now belonging to 1A, has been replaced with a late 20th-century bow window of a similar size. The building is attached to Lymm Bridge. The interior has not been inspected.
