Description
The barn at Hope Farmhouse, located to the south-west, dates from the late 17th century and is constructed from brown brick with a stone slate roof. It features three original bays with an additional bay added to the south. The barn is partially two storeys, with the central section open to the roof. Access to the first-floor storage area is provided by old stone steps at the north gable. The barn has ledged, battened, and braced replacement doors set in heavy timber frames, along with a timber eaves gutter. Inside, there is an old stone slab floor, low-pitched oak strutted trusses, a single line of purlins, and a ridgetree.
