Description

Wigshaw House is an early 19th-century house built of red brick with a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and three bays. The entrance features a moulded doorframe with a bracketed transom and a plain elliptical fanlight, all set under a rubbed elliptical arch and flanked by rebated brick reveals. The door is framed, battened, and studded, complete with false strap hinges. The windows are recessed sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, and flat skewback lintels. The eaves cornice is flush moulded and bracketed, and there are sandstone stacks at the ridge and gable ends.
